Jesca Hoop
Once again, Marc has Manchester-adopted Californian Jesca Hoop playing live in the Salford studio.
Manchester adopted Californian Jesca Hoop is once again playing live in the Salford studio this evening.
The story of Jesca Hoop so far is a strange and beautiful tale that starts with harmonising with her Mormon family, and ends with living in Manchester and guest presenting for Guy Garvey on 6 Music.
The middle of the story involves her - life as a racoon- where she rambled through the mountain deserts of Southwest America and along the Northwest coastline. Where she worked as a wilderness survival expert and farm hand. All through this tale Jesca continued with her song writing and then in 2004 decided to settle in LA to develop her music career.
Having just finished a UK tour for her latest release The House That Jack Built (Bella Union) and the likes of Tom Waits, Peter Gabriel and 6 Music's Guy Garvey all praising Jesca, we have to tell you that you really shouldn't miss this session!
