Big House and Calverton

Find out if the restorations of Calverton Manor in Buckinghamshire, and Big House in Pembrokeshire, have been successful.

Calverton Manor in Buckinghamshire dates back to Tudor times and was once home to a powerful businessman. When David and Jeanette saw the Grade II* listed building, it was a rundown farmhouse. With a restoration budget of one million pounds, they relished uncovering the historic and architectural secrets of the house. Now a proper home, does it fulfil the couple's every dream? And what of new evidence revealing the house's links to the code-breaking Bletchley Park?

Big House in Pembrokeshire was a carcass. But its architectural and historical roots showed the wealth and power of an empire built on coal. Local man Alun dreamed of owning Big House since he was a small boy, and he finally bought it. With money tight, he had a massive task ahead of him. Twelve months on has Alun managed to transform Big House into the impressive mansion it must have been more than a hundred years ago?
