Clare Teal features the work of master arrangers Eddie Sauter and Bill Finegan. Featured music includes the ground breaking Sauter Finegan Orchestra they co-led during the 1950's. Famous for its unusual instrumentation this band was created to give both arrangers an outlet for their talents and one that would be free from commercial considerations. Ironically the Sauter Finegan Orchestra would become one of the most commercially successful big bands of the 1950's enjoying massive record sales for hits including Midnight Sleighride and The Doodletown Fifers.

The individual work of both arrangers is also featured with Eddie Sauter's scores written for Benny Goodman and Red Norvo as well as Bill Finegan's creations for Tommy Dorsey and Glenn Miller.
