Susan Hulme reports on the proceedings at Westminster as the Government says MPs will be allowed to vote on what sort of inquiry will be held into the Barclays Bank rate-rigging scandal.
Ministers announce that the Commons will be given a choice on Thursday of backing their plan for a parliamentary investigation or opting for a judge-led inquiry into banking.
In the Lords, peers consider a Labour motion demanding a public inquiry following the revelations about Barclays and the resignation of its boss, Bob Diamond.
