The mighty Spidey is back in The Amazing Spider-Man, plus Bobcat Goldthwait talks about how a dumbed-down American media and reality TV inspired his new film God Bless America.

Janice is joined by reviewers Graeme Virtue and Siobhan Synnot

The mighty spidey is back with a new Peter Parker played by Andrew Garfield, and going back to the original story. It's called Amazing Spiderman, and Janice & guests find out just how amazing it is.

A dark satire from American comedian, actor and filmmaker Bobcat Goldthwait, God Bless America is the story of Frank, a man who goes on a violent rampage because he's had about as much as he can take of bland, offensive and dumbed down media and reality TV.

A road movie with a lot of heart, Mission to Lars is made by journalist Kate Spicer and her brother Will. Over the years the two realised they've grown apart from their brother Tom, who has Fragile X Syndrome, a form of inherited autism. So they decide to take him on the journey of a lifetime to meet his all-time hero, Metallica Drummer, Lars Ulrich.

And an ensemble comedy, Friends With Kids, is about a close knit group of thirtysomething pals in New York who are having kids, thinking about having them, or considering how they could have them. Do the Bridesmaids cast, including John Hamm, Kirstin Wiig, and Maya Rudolph, deliver the goods this time?

And our DVD Pick of the Week is Rampart, a story of a renegade LA Cop in the 1990s, which sees the pairing of director Oren Moverman and actor Woody Harrelson again.
