The Final: Interviews

Episode 14 of 14

Business-based competition. Lord Sugar asks the candidates to pitch their business concepts to him, and they face a gruelling series of interviews.

The final episode of this series sees Lord Sugar name his business partner. The final four candidates are called to the Institute of Directors in the City, where Lord Sugar asks them to pitch their business concepts to him right there on the spot. It is the first time that the contenders hear what their competitors are putting forward, and Lord Sugar makes it very clear that he has no idea what one candidate is talking about.

Then it is down to business with Margaret Mountford, Mike Soutar, Matthew Riley and tough-talking Claude Littner. Lord Sugar's four advisors scrutinise the candidates' suitability to go into partnership with the Boss. They face the ultimate grilling as their CVs, personal statements and business plans are criticised, picked through and blown apart.

In the boardroom, Lord Sugar hears his advisors' feedback, and then it is the final four's turn to plead their case. Three are fired, and Lord Sugar delivers his final ruling on who will be his business partner.
