A manic Ian presses ahead with wedding plans despite Mandy's terrible news but, with spiralling debts, he is forced to source alternative funds for his big day.

Lucy’s horrified to discover Ian still intends to go ahead with the wedding with her as bridesmaid. Janine threatens to call in Ian’s loan if he won’t accept her second offer for his house. Mandy isn’t interested in organising her mum’s funeral; Ian’s undeterred when she says she can’t go through with the wedding. Max tries to rebook the wedding venue but Ian’s card’s declined. When Ian can’t get any money out of the ATM he decides to scale down his wedding plans. He asks Max to lend him money and then tries to sell his car. Phil’s relieved to learn Max thinks Ben’s exams are preventing him being best man and gives Max money to pay for the wedding. Ben panics, what will Ian do when he’s safe on honeymoon? After paying for Ian’s Argee Bhajee takeaway, Phil tells him he can’t sell the house or go away. Ian insists if he loses Mandy he’ll have nothing to live for. Phil forcefully reminds him they’re like family and betraying family is crossing the line. Max comforts Mandy. She’s angry when Max reveals Ian’s sorted her mum’s funeral and they’re imminently going on a honeymoon cruise. Mandy confronts Ian, who desperately talks her round. Later, Lucy insists she won’t let Ian marry Mandy. Mandy says she’s going to marry him - just to ruin Lucy’s day... Janine confronts Whitney about moving in. Michael tries to put Billy off employing Jean, but his attempt fails and Billy offers her a job. Michael persuades Janine to let him move in.
There’s plenty of banter while Derek helps Tyler cook a romantic meal for Whitney and Tyler ends up inviting Derek to stay for dinner. Whitney’s dismay is obvious, so Derek makes his excuses.
Abi diligently revises for her exams.
