Broadcaster James Jolly chooses some of his favourite recordings from the legacy of Finnish conductor and celebrated Sibelius exponent Paavo Berglund, who died earlier this year. Berglund's 60-year career saw him take the helm of some of Europe's best orchestras, including the Finnish Radio Symphony, Helsinki Philharmonic, Bournemouth Symphony, Dresden Staatskapelle and Oslo Philharmonic, and James Jolly's selection features recordings from each of these great orchestras performing music by Sibelius, Nielsen, Brahms, Rachmaninov, Smetana, Vaughan Williams & Walton.
