Continuing Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 3's celebration of The Spirit of Schubert, Professor Robert Winston introduces some of his personal choices including a recording of the Fantasy in F minor D.940 played by Sviatoslav Richter and Benjamin Britten, and a recording of the Second Symphony with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra conducted by Nikolaus Harnoncourt. The programme also includes a selection of Schubert's settings of Goethe songs composed in 1815, that remarkable year being celebrated today on Radio 3.
