It's 10 years since Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ 6 Music first hit the airwaves on 11 March 2002. To celebrate Cerys Matthews is live from Maida Vale with a gala event of music and poetry including live performances from new psychedelic folk rocker Mary Epworth, performance poet Murray Lachlan Young, and singer songwriter Emmy the Great.
The very first record to be played on 6 Music back in 2002 was Ash's Burn Baby Burn, and Ash frontman Tim Wheeler will marking the occasion with a specially recorded birthday duet with Emmy the Great.
