Ricky Ross celebrates the centenary of Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass, and the 80th birthday of George Jones, who's been described as 'the greatest living country singer'.
Celebrating 100 years since Bill Monroe, the father of bluegrass, was born with some of the music he's been responsible for. We also mark the 80th birthday of George Jones, described as "the greatest living country singer". Tonight's programme includes contributions from the Avett Brothers, Sara Watkins and the Secret Sisters. Featuring new and classic Americana & alternative country music.
