In the feature Headline News [Number One Albums On Noteworthy Days] we hear Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh from the LP My Son The Nut by Allan Sherman. It was number one on 28 August 1963 - the day on which the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom took place. Martin Luther King made his I Have A Dream Speech at the Lincoln Memorial. We also hear April Come She Will by Simon & Garfunkel from The Graduate soundtrack album. The LP was number one in the US on 4th April 1968 - the day when Martin Luther King was assassinated.

In the regular feature The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, songs are featured from albums by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and Pet Shop Boys. It's Not The Same Old Song highlights You Were Made For Me by Sam Cooke and a different song with the same title by Freddie & The Dreamers.

In A Matter Of Life And Death Paul celebrates the birth on this date in 1948 of Alice Cooper. We also hear Willie And The Hand Jive - played as a tribute to the recently deceased Johnny Otis. Where Have All The Flowers Gone by Pete Seeger and White Christmas by Bing Crosby are this week's featured records from the Grammy Hall Of Fame Singles list.

Our R&B Number Ones are from 2010 - It Kills Me by Melanie Fiona - and this week - Stay by Tyrese. We hear Country Number Ones from 1961 and now by Johnny Horton and Toby Keith. This week's past and present Rock Number Ones are by Sting and The Black Keys. Adele remains at the top of the US album chart for a seventeenth non-consecutive week with 21. And, on the singles side, Turn Me On by David Guetta featuring Nicki Minaj is the best selling song of the week.
