Mike Harding presents an hour of the very best in folk, roots and acoustic music. This week's show includes an interview with Ireland's Nuala Kennedy, who has spent the last ten years establishing herself as one of the most talented and adaptable musicians in the folk world.

Since emerging on the British folk scene with Edinburgh-based trio Fine Friday, Nuala has been involved in numerous and varied musical projects, including two solo albums. In 2008 she recorded an album with the late Canadian fiddler Oliver Schroer called Enchanted. Due to Oliver's tragic death, the album has only just been released and Nuala is about to perform the music from it at a special gig at the Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow.

Currently based in New York, Nuala tells Mike how she came to work with people like Bonnie Prince Billy and Teenage Fanclub's Norman Blake, and reflects on how she first got interested in making music.
