It was number one on 15 August 1969 - the first day of the Woodstock Festival. We also hear Love Story by Taylor Swift from Fearless. It was number one in the US on 20th January 2009 - the day President Barack Obama was inaugurated.

In the regular feature The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face, songs are featured from LPs by Otis Redding and Christopher Cross. It's Not The Same Old Song highlights Fire by The Jimi Hendrix Experience and a different song with the same title by The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown.

In A Matter Of Life And Death Paul celebrates the birth on this date in 1938 of Jack Jones. We also hear Just The Two Of Us by Grover Washington Jr. with Bill Withers - played as a tribute to the recently deceased percussionist and composer who co-wrote the song - Ralph McDonald.
