Frank Renton at Brass in Concert 2011 with The Tredegar Town Band, conductor Ian Porthouse who carried off trophies for Highest Quality of Performance, Best New Composition or Arrangement and Best Principal Cornet, Dewi Griffiths Their programme included a new arrangement of Saint Saens Danse Macabre for Violin and Band and Matthew Halls new Award winning Nightingale Dances. The programme ends with Carlton's Maines performance of Make Our Garden Grow, one of the hit songs from Candide by Leonard Bernstein.
