The Clipper Majestic is chartered by the US Navy to fly a planeload of rowdy sailors back to New York. One of them is getting married and there is soon quite a party on the plane. Laura takes a shine to a black submariner who comes back to stay at Maggie's flat and carry on the party in style. But as the attraction between them increases, so do the disapproving looks.
