Cathy talks to the remarkable Satish Kumar, an 'Earth Pilgrim', and to former gangster John Pridmore, who changed his life completely when he became a Christian.

On this week's Sunday Morning with Cathy Macdonald, the first hour guest is the remarkable Satish Kumar, the editor of Resurgence magazine and a man who calls himself an "Earth Pilgrim". Satish talks to Cathy about his 8,000 mile Peace Pilgrimage and belief in Spiritual Ecology. Satish is a Jain, an Indian religion which embraces a philosophy of non-violence towards any living creature, believing that animals and plants as well as human beings and should be treated with respect and compassion.

Also on the programme, the financial turmoil across Europe has led to two EU member states, Greece and Italy replacing their leaders with unelected "experts"- technocrats with an economic and financial bias. Cathy asks if this is the only measure to avoid further financial ruin, and if so, what the implications for democracy?

With the Leveson Inquiry on media ethics still ongoing, and the press' relationship with the public, politicians and the police all under scrutiny - we ask what, if anything, will change in British journalism.

Cathy talks to former gangster John Pridmore who changed his life completely when he became a Christian. And finally our reporter Anna Magnusson visits the home of a 'Sunday Morning' listener, Mary Jean Sutherland, who shares her memories of growing up in a Children's Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ in Perth in the 1950's.
