Brian Matthew's Saturday selection of Sixties classics and rarities including this week's edition of the Chronicles and a groovy dance to practise.

This week's Sixties dance is The 81 by Candy and the Kisses...no we don't remember that one either! But we do remember the answer song to Kenny Rogers' - Ruby Don't Take Your Love To Town. Tracks also include Cupid's Inspiration, Gale Garnett's brilliant We'll Sing In The Sunshine, Billy Fury, Jackie Wilson, Tom Jones, The Action, Kenny Lynch, Simon & Garfunkel, Helen Shapiro and The Tams. There's a Three-In-A-Row themed on 'candy' (no kisses) and the Chronicles looks back to this week during the 1960s.

Events to remember are the launch of the British Caledonian airline, the Beatles' first session at The Paris Studio, the opening of the Pacific Commonwealth telephone cable, Winston Churchill's 90th birthday, Ringo having his tonsils out and the introduction of the Race Relations and Trade Descriptions acts.
