On the run from the police, sleuth Albert Campion and his servant Lugg receive a deeply unsettling visitor. Roger Allam reads Margery Allingham's mystery.

Celebrated amateur detective Albert Campion wakes in hospital accused of attacking a police officer, and suffering from acute amnesia. All he can remember is that he was on a mission of vital importance to His Majesty's government before his accident.

Still unable to regain his memory, Campion is on the run from the police, having knocked out the friendly local superintendent. Now he and his faithful servant Lugg are about to receive a most unwelcome visitor.

Roger Allam continues reading Margery Allingham's ten-part classic detective story from 1941.
