Scottish folk singer and song writer Archie Fisher takes a trip round the borders reflecting on the distinctive cultures of the south of Scotland and the north of England.
In this special Zone we'll examine the tradition of piping on both sides of the Border, hear about the songs of the Common Ridings, look into the history of a famous Border Ballad and hear a fascinating edition of a Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Borders production from 1976. Along the way we'll also hear music from some of the Borders best known musicians such as Emily Smith, Shona Mooney and Kathryn Tickell.
