It's a flowery Beechgrove this week. Jim takes a look at some his of old flowery favourites - dahlias- in sumptuous new varieties alongside what may become his new favourites - garvineas - in a myriad of neon-bright colours. Meanwhile Carole and Lesley take a look at their trial of dangly plants - a whole range of plants that will tumble over walls and edges.

Lesley also shows how to put together the best in low-rise gardening, as she shows how to fill an alpine trough with a range of alpines that any garden could have space for.

Carolyn is with Adele Osbourne in Burntisland. Adele's problem is a sloping site to the back of the house which is the view from her recent extension but unfortunately she hasn't managed to get anything to grow there. Carolyn creates terraces out of the boulders from the extension and plants for all year round colour.

Jim visits a treat of a garden at Glenbervie House. This is a traditional Scottish walled garden on a slope with roses and herbaceous and annual borders along with many fruit and veggies. One wall is taken up with a fine Victorian-style conservatory with many varieties of pot plants and climbers giving a traditional Victorian display.
