The Best of Adam and Joe
Radio 2 listeners are treated to choice highlights from Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish, who've been delighting 6 Music listeners since 2007 with their Sony Award-winning comedy show.
Adam Buxton and Joe Cornish have been delighting 6 Music listeners since 2007, with a highly interactive Saturday morning show which picked up the Sony Radio Award for Best Comedy last year.
Friends since school, in 1995 their submissions to Channel 4's Takeover TV led to a self-titled entertainment show which featured satires of contemporary pop culture (including Toy Trainspotting and American Beautoy).
The talented pair have since worked on many other shows, both individually and together. Adam regularly tours with his BUG stage show, whilst continuing to write and act on television and in feature films including Stardust. Joe, meanwhile, has adapted Ant Man for the big screen, worked with Steven Spielberg on the script for The Adventures of Tintin, and made his directorial debut earlier this year with Attack the Block.
Over the next two weeks, 6 on 2 will showcase some of the very best bits from "Dr Buckles" and "Dr Sexy". If you're not already a fan, tune in to find out why features like Text the Nation, Song Wars and Made Up Jokes (not to mention prolific off-air "Stephen!" activity) have captured the hearts and minds of the 6 Music audience.
