This show was all about Jonny Saunders, our loyal and long-serving sports reporter who is off to pursue his dream of becoming a teacher - good luck, Jonny!
After five and a half years working with Chris and 18 months on the Breakfast Show, today was Jonny Saunder's last show, as he is hanging up his headphones for the classroom, and re-trains to be a teacher.
So as Jonny emptied his locker and packed his sports bag for the last time, before embarking on a lifetime of marking homework, and lesson plans, we couldn't let him go without a few surprises, a trip down memory lane, and a few tears as well!
Singer Beverley Craven sang a new, special, personal rendition of Promise Me, Nicky from Westlife was on the phone to say goodbye and to invite Jonny to their concert, the Mystery Guests were Status Quo and cricketer Michael Vaughan came into the studio to reminisce about the Sporting Challenges and wave him goodbye.
Good luck Jonny!
