One in every 15- 20 wrestlers in the United Kingdom are now British Asian according to the Frontier Wrestling Alliance the UK's professional body in wrestling. We look at why some Asians have a fascination with the sport and talk to those who are claiming that the climate is now right for British wrestling to make a come back and be on television - the last 30 years have been dominated by American wrestling. With the likes of Great Khali making headlines as a contestant on Big Boss to the legends like Dara Singh setting the standard for wrestlers, many British Asians are hoping to follow in their footsteps.
We follow 29 year old, Assistant Head Teacher by day but on weekends wrestler RJ Singh- 'The Bollywood Dream". He's just been told that an American Wrestling company - TNA are interesting in him having a tryout. This is the break he's been waiting for - will it be the start or the end of his dreams to make it as a world class wrestler?
