Live from the Hay Festival

Chris Evans was joined by some famous faces with some famous voices for a very special live broadcast from the Hay Festival as we revealed the winners of our 500 WORDS competition.

The Chris Evans Show was live from The Hay Festival were they were joined by budding Charles Dickens and Jane Austens who had written the Top 50 stories in our 500 WORDS competition.

Richard Hammond, presenter of Top Gear read the winning story in the 9 and under category "The Death Channel" by Angus Barrett

John Culshaw star of Dead Ringers read "Teeth" by Rachel Horsfield

Kate Humble, presenter of Springwatch read "The Diary of a Goldfish" by Eliot Kelly-Reilly

Roy Stride, lead singer of Scouting for Girls read "History" by Eamon MacDonald

Alexandra Burke, X-Factor winner read "Charlotte Johnson" by Kerry Maxwell

Anne Robinson, host of The Weakest Link read the winning story in the 10-13 category "Stable" by Olivia Norton.

Well done to everyone who entered the competition - nearly 30,000 children in total!
