Jamie Cullum showcases his love for all types of jazz, and music rooted in jazz, from its heritage to the future.

This week, Jamie returns to the ΒιΆΉΤΌΕΔ archives for a recording of John Surman, the British jazz saxophonist, clarinettist and synthesizer player, performing on Jazz in Britain in 1978.

With an over-dubbing technique, Surman plays various instruments in one part of a suite, based on a ballet that he was performing with Janet Cook at the time.
