With reference to artists, writers, poets and the voices of different generations, including George Orwell, Marilyn Monroe, Fernando Pessoa and Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔr Simpson, Sarah Cuddon examines the way a pseudonym helps us to embellish, conceal and reveal who we are.
