From the jungles of 1970s Sri Lanka (when it was Ceylon) to a luxury boutique hotel in Seville, from the devastation a death causes - and comfortable lives confronted by something shocking - to the adventure of following a wild elephant, these stories are as varied as the performers who have written and read them.
