Michael Marra
Michael Marra tells Phil Cunningham about his five favorite songs and explains why he's a reluctant performer, but one who loves the craft of songwriting.
2/8 Michael Marra was brought up in the Lochee district of Dundee and is one of Scotland's most talented and original songwriters.
Working for a London publishing house his songs were recorded by the likes of Frankie Miller, Kiki Dee and Leo Sayer.
Returning to Scotland Michael produced his album Gaels Blue in 1985.
Supporting the likes of Deacon Blue, Barbara Dickson and Van Morrison and touring widely Michael rapidly gained a loyal fan base of his own.
The programme opens with the track The Clock from his latest album Michael Marra with Mr Mcfall's Chamber and Michael goes on to select the following songs.
