See Hear looks at the Equality Act 2010, what this law means and how the new legislation can protect you if you are deaf.

We also meet Semhar Beyene, who has had a cochlear implant at the age of 27. She talks to See Hear about her decision and how she feels that having an implant could be seen as a bridge to giving deaf people freedom and independence.
