It's a triumphant return for Scotland's Burns Unit on Marc's show.
A triumphant return for Scotland's Burns Unit this evening - yip yip. Their single Trouble has just been re released because it's soooo good!
The Burns Unit are an 8 piece Scottish/Canadian super group whose sound can be described as "indie pop meets carnival rock." Featuring Emma Pollock, Future Pilot AKA, Karine Polwart, King Creosote, Kim Edgar, Mattie Foulds and Michael Johnston (both from Canada), along with MC Soom T.
On August 3, 2010, The Burns Unit release their debut, "Side Show." Produced by
Mattie Foulds, "Side Show" was mixed with Paul Savage (Franz Ferdinand) and mastered
by Jon Astley (Tears For Fears).
The guys and gals .. all met out of a one week songwriting retreat called "Burnsong" held in rural Scotland in
December 2006 .. we can only be grateful that such a thing existed!!
