Clare English is joined by a panel of experts to examine how fashion, society, technology and our cultural institutions will fare in the year ahead.

In the first Culture CafΓ© of 2011, Clare English looks ahead to how society, art and culture will fare in 2011.

Sociologist Rachel Russell will tell Clare how belt-tightening will lead to a surge in arts, crafts and a 'doing-it-at-home' culture and that our love of celebrity will only intensify once we have a new princess to play with.

Fashion Journalist John Davidson forecasts what we'll be wearing in 2011 and tells us that we'll use our clothing as a way of lifting spirits. Bring on the 70s revival!

Phil Miller, Arts Correspondent for The Herald, examines what the big events will be in the artistic year ahead. From Chinese-themed Edinburgh Festivals, to the knock-on effects of a Scottish Election and further budget cuts.

Futurist Ian Pearson will tell us about the changing ways in which society and technology will be interacting over the next 12 months. Is 3D really going to be as big as the manufacturers want it to be?

Plus we get a glimpse of one of the major events of 2011 - the opening of the new Riverside Museum in Glasgow.
