In session with Bob is rising Americana star Joe Pug. Nominated for new and emerging artist at this year's Americana Music awards, Joe has just released his debut album 'Messenger'. A former playwriting student, Joe dropped out of college to pursue his songwriting, moving to Chicago and working as a carpenter by day. In a bold networking move he decided to offer his existing fans unlimited copies of a free two-song sampler CD to pass along to their friends. He advertised this on his website and sent the CDs out at his own expense, even covering the postage. Inside each package was a personal note thanking the fan for helping to spread the word. The response was overwhelming and, in the first year, he sent out over 15,000 CDs to 50 states and 14 different countries.
This session was recorded in Nashville in September.
