In session with Bob tonight is Canada's alt country cowboy, Corb Lund.

In session with Bob tonight is Canada's alt country cowboy, Corb Lund. Born into a ranching family, Corb fills his songs with cowboy imagery, tackling subjects like rodeos, wide open spaces, pickup trucks, and even mad cow disease.
Corb began his musical career in 1990 with the Canadian punk band The Smalls, which he fronted for 11 years, in and amongst his forays into Country music. The band broke up in 2001 and since then Corb has focused on developing his personal style of alt country, which takes in western swing, country rock, ragtime and talking blues. Corb has been named Roots Artist of the Year by the Canadian Country Music Association for the last five years running and in 2006 collected a Juno award (a Canadian Grammy) for his album ' Hair in My Eyes Like a Highland Steer' . 'Losin' Lately Gambler' is his sixth album, once again featuring his long-time band The Hurtin' Albertans'
In a session recorded in Nashville in September Corb plays acoustic tracks from his career.
