Julian Clary joins Richard

Libertarian author PJ O'Rourke on his new book, Don't Vote. Julian Clary has a new DVD, Lord of the Mince. David Cameron criticised for repeating 'offensive' John Bercow dwarf joke.

American libertarian PJ O'Rourke starts the show by talking to Richard about his new book Don't Vote. He talks about President Barack Obama and his healthcare policy, and why, as a new UK government initiative starts to measure our contentment, he is surprised that Prime Minister David Cameron cares if he is happy or not.

Also in the first hour, Julian Clary joins Richard to talk about the DVD of his latest stand-up tour, Lord of the Mince. He tells Richard why he loves innuendo, how enthusiastic he got when learning to ballroom dance for Strictly Come Dancing, why he didn't tour for six years and how the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ Radio 4 comedy panel show Just a Minute makes him nervous.

David Cameron has repeated a joke suggesting that the Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow is a dwarf. In the second hour of the programme, John Connerty, co-founder of Walking with Giants, a charity for people with primordial dwarfism, tells Richard why he was so offended by the remarks. He believes that Mr Cameron has broken the law.
