Author Jacqueline Wilson discusses her new book

Claudia talks to children's author Jacqueline Wilson, and poets Ian McMillan and Murray Lachlan Young talk about National Poetry Day. Plus news of the Brighton Comedy Festival.

Claudia talks to the celebrated author Jacqueline Wilson, known for her vast and diverse work in children's literature, about her new book 'The Longest Whale Song'.

Plus:

Performance poets Ian McMillan and Murray Lachlan Young talk about National Poetry Day, which is on 7th October.

Mark White and Josh Darcy talk about their roles as the iconic Ian Dury and his shaven-headed collaborator Spider in 'Hit Me! The Life and Times of Ian Dury', the warts-and-all portrayal of the Blockheads' lead singer. The stage show explores the highs and lows of Ian Dury's extraordinary life and career from a Dickensian childhood at a boarding school for disabled children to world-wide fame as a cult hero and the forefather of punk before his sadly premature death.

With the Design Museum in London currently staging a major exhibition on British architect John Pawson, the Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ's Jane Hill accompanies the acclaimed architect around the show during which he talks about some of his landmark projects.

And Claudia discusses the Brighton Comedy Festival with its programme manager and producer Alex Rochford, and the comedian Mark Watson who is performing there. Over three weekends, around 50 of the best comedians working in live comedy strut the boards of the Brighton Dome's three venues the Concert Hall, Corn Exchange and Pavilion Theatre.
