Sistema Scotland are hosting a party at the Scottish Parliament, but has the project proved successful? And what's the next stage?

Talking Heads Three members of Dundee Rep Ensemble are taking turns to act and direct one of three Alan Bennett tales from his classic collection Talking Heads. They've been performing in community centres, and are preparing for their first performance in Dundee Rep tomorrow. (the 22nd) We hear all about this unusual project..

El Sistema - Sistema Scotland has concluded the second year of its pilot with over 240 children involved, and they're hosting a party to celebrate. The reception takes place in the Garden Lobby of the Scottish Parliament on Wednesday 22nd September, from 6-8pm, which will feature a brief performance by the children of Raploch's Big Noise Orchestra and a performance by Venezuela's Millennium String Quartet. Man With A Blue Scarf - Six years after Lucian Freud's painting Man with a Blue Scarf has been completed, sold and hung in a private house in California, Art critic Martin Gayford the subject, has published his diary to attempt to tell us what it is like to be a subject, to be acted on, to be handed down to art history as the 'man with a blue scarf'.

Stars Over Kabul : Stars Over Kabul opens at the Tramway Theatre, Glasgow on September 23: it is a play about three different young Afghan women, all called Razia, and their individual identity struggles. The National Youth Theatre will also be running complementary educational workshops with the aim of helping deconstruct issues surrounding faith, belonging and prejudice.
