From Brooklyn to the Bronx, he gets under the skin of one of the most fascinating cities in the world in this definitive guide to the New York music scene.

In this programme, part one, Huw looks at the city's indie scene and finds out why Brooklyn is the hottest place in the world for music right now.

Visiting latest hipster exports The Drums in the Williamsburg house where they all live together, hanging out with LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy in his flat, and then getting the other side of Brooklyn from punk band Cerebral Ballzy, Huw gets the lowdown on THE place to live and make music in New York.

Also includes interviews with Brooklyn-ites Vampire Weekend, Grizzly Bear, Darwin Deez and Dave from Dirty Projectors.
