While Patrick goes off the rails but is pulled back by Lucas, Roxy and Ronnie finally let Glenda in, and Tam makes small steps towards accepting his brother's new life.

Kim broaches the subject of the girls moving out with Patrick, but he remains impassive. Kim implores Lucas to reason with him. Patrick spooks Lucas by bringing up his involvement in Owen’s murder. Patrick organises a card game in an effort to forget the impending funeral. Erratic, he forces himself into the party spirit, but falters on seeing a photo of Denise. Kim is furious to find Patrick’s party in full flow. As tensions rise, Lucas insists Patrick go for some air. Lucas sternly tells Patrick to stop dishonouring Denise’s memory. Patrick snaps; why should they mourn someone who was too selfish to stay alive. He finally breaks down, admitting he misses Denise. Lucas consoles him. As a lost Patrick asks who will look after him, Lucas vows: “I’ll look after you all now.â€

Glenda and Jack rally round to support Ronnie, but she’s distant. Jack points out that Ronnie needs her sister. Glenda seeks out Roxy, but finds a po-faced Peggy who can’t believe she’s been taken in by Ronnie’s lies. Glenda assures her that it’s only a matter of time before Roxy believes Ronnie and Peggy is shut out. Glenda reasons with an unyielding Roxy and succeeds in bringing the sisters together to talk. Alone with Roxy, Ronnie forces her to listen to the history of the abuse. As Ronnie tells of how she tried to protect Roxy from the same abuse, a tearful Roxy realises she’s telling the truth.

Syed invites Tamwar to dinner in order for him to bond with Christian. The dinner becomes awkward when Christian holds Syed’s hand. Alone with Tamwar, Syed explains his internal struggle with being true to his feelings and being outwardly gay. In a gesture of acceptance, Tamwar suggests they go to Mosque together, claiming his parents needn’t know.
