There's the shocking tale of The Travelling Electric Chair and the radio reporter who went to extraordinary lengths to capture live on mic the surge of power that signalled the end for a condemned man. And the uplifting tale of the soldier left stranded when the flotilla of little boats left Dunkirk and who was finally reunited with his family five years later.
