Nigel Ogden presents a programme of popular organ recordings with some entertaining pieces from the organ world.

The theme of tonight's programme is organs and organists on the air, or rather those instruments and musicians who've featured in radio broadcasts. There's archive performances from George Blackmore at the State, Kilburn Wurlitzer in the mid-sixties, former Poet Laureate, Sir John Betjemin visiting the home of Len Rawle in Chorleywood which boasts the ex-Empire Leicester Square Wutlitzer and a new recording from young organist, Richard Hills where he has attempted to create the atmosphere of those old half hour broadcasts by introducing each piece of music with the spoken word.
