Edi Stark talks to international bestselling author Iain Banks at his home in North Queensferry. The writer of both science fiction and literary novels talks about writing for two genres. On a personal level, he describes a perfect childhood and his father's influence, as well as revealing for the first time publicly, the tough times he experienced in his marriage to his ex-wife whose problems led to her death. Nowadays, he says, while admitting to blushing, he is madly in love and very happy. Drugs and fast cars are now behind him.
