Gardening magazine. Walls and fences are one of the most tricky areas of the garden to cover so, whether they face north, south, east or west. Toby Buckland comes up with suggestions for quick-growing climbing plants which will have them covered and looking good this summer.
Cabbages aren't simply vegetables, they have floral relatives too. So from the stalwarts of the allotment to the native meadow flower, the Lady's Smock, Carol Klein uncovers the colourful world of the Brassica family. Joe Swift joins Toby at Greenacre and shows us how to build a pond from recycled materials without compromising on design and quality.
Toby is also in the fruit garden giving top tips on how to grow the most fruit in a small space by planting a tayberry against a fence and training red and white currants on wires.
As well as all that, there is expert advice from the Royal Horticultural Society on how to get on top of pests and diseases in your vegetable garden, your lawn, your flower borders and in the greenhouse.
