Samantha Smith reports on the Cornish orphans sent to Australia in the 1950s and 60s, many of whom were abused. Now Gordon Brown is set to offer them an apology on behalf of the nation. We follow David Webb, a promising young tenor from Plymouth, who started as an Exeter chorister and is now embarking on a promising classical career.
