John Dankworth/Pat Metheny/Craig Taborn Trio

Jez Nelson presents an acoustic gig by American pianist Craig Taborn and his trio, featuring Thomas Morgan on double bass and Gerald Cleaver on drums.

Jez Nelson pays tribute to John Dankworth who died on 6 February 2010 aged 82. Jez is joined by The Guardian's John Fordham to discuss the career of the celebrated saxophonist, composer and band-leader, and play tracks from his back catalogue.

John and Jez also discuss guitarist Pat Metheny's latest project - an automated band called The Orchestrion - and introduce a concert by American pianist Craig Taborn and his trio, featuring Thomas Morgan on double bass and Gerald Cleaver on drums.
