We present a very special three hour show with Mos Def, breaking down his biggest tracks past and present.

Mos gives us an in-depth breakdown of his latest album 'The Ecstatic', talking about working with Slick Rick, Madlib and Georgia Anne Muldrow. He also shares stories of growing up in Brooklyn, the classic era of Rawkus Records, playing timpani and discusses the legacy of J Dilla.

In hour three, Mos selects some of the music that made him who he is today, including selections Grandmaster Flash, Miles Davis, Shuggie Otis, Charles Mingus and Fela Kuti.
