See Hear goes undercover to investigate the poor acoustics in some of Britain's most popular restaurants. The fashion for minimalist interior design, open kitchens, canteen-style tables and hard surfaces makes for a seriously stressful experience for many people with hearing impairment.
Hard of hearing Louise Simmonds has had many a night out ruined by loud and echoing surroundings, so she and her audiologist Mark Scutchings set out to measure how bad the problem is, with hidden cameras and discreet noise monitors - and eat a lot of pizzas and bowls of noodles in the process.
