After the winter's snow, it is time to check on some 'patients' in the garden. Plant doctors Jim, Carole and Lesley are on ward rounds making diagnoses and some tough decisions.

After the winter's snow, and particularly after an unexpectedly hard frost in October, it's time to take the temperature of some patients in the garden. Plant doctors Jim, Carole and Lesley are on ward rounds making diagnoses and some tough decisions.

Jim almost starts slurring his words as he begins a new 'boozy border' in the garden. Meanwhile Lesley investigates a whole barrow load of seed catalogue 'crazy claims' - the world's finest yellow geranium, the first blue busy lizzie etc., to see if they are what they say on the tin.

Carole is in Kingswells near Aberdeen with the Stewart family. David and Aenea with children Samantha and Sean want to grow their own fruit and veg, but have absolutely no idea where to start. This is the start of a new mini veg series following their progress as Carole shows them how to do just that.

Carole also visits Brodie castle near Forres to see a world-renowned collection of daffodils.
