Do you trust care homes to look after your elderly relatives?
Graham Stewart takes your calls on a Care Commission report which says homes must improve palliative and end-of-life support.
More than 40% of Scottish care homes for the elderly need to improve their palliative and end-of-life support, according to a report from The Care Commission. Its inspectors found that staff often weren't aware that specialised care should be given to residents with terminal conditions such as cancer and dementia. And more than half of homes failed to adequately train staff on how to deal with sensitive issues surrounding death or dying, such as discussing their last wishes.
Graham Stewart takes your calls, texts and emails.
