This week on See Hear we take a look at the fascinating life of deafblind Roman Catholic priest Father Cyril Axelrod. He has been an inspiration to Deaf and deafblind people all over the world. He speaks over ten different languages and has travelled from South Africa to China working to change attitudes towards deaf people. We follow his remarkable journey in 2005 to meet the Pope in Rome and we join him today at his North London home where he tells us how he has come to terms with losing his sight.
Father Cyril Axelrod is taking part in a service to mark the bicentenary of the birth of Louis Braille. It is being held at 12pm on Saturday 21st March at the church of St Martin-in-the-Fields in central London.
